Both mothers were given white ribbon flowers with miniature pot holders in rainbow colors. Special guests were Mrs. Charlie Dugas, grandmothers of the bride-elect. Mrs Odila Guidry, grandmother of the prospective groom, and Mrs. Walter Dupuis, his aunt.

They were given corsages similar to the two mothers. Approximately 70 guests attended. Miss Dugas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Dugas, and Mr.

Hayes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilven Hayes, all of Henderson, will be married on May 25 at 7 p.m. at the Henderson Bible Church. 4 By Mable LaGrange Henderson Miss Harriet Dugas, bride-elect of Wallace Hayes was honored Sunday at a bridal shower at the Henry Guidry Memorial shower at the Henry Guidry Memorial Building here.

Friends and relatives hosted the social. White satin umbrellas decorated with lace doilies and pearls were noted in the decorations. The food table was centered with a yellow and hite heart shaped cake with wedding lace decorations in blue, pink and yellow. Miss Melissa Taylor registered the guests at a table covered with a lace cloth. It held a bud vase with a single yellow rose.

Miss Dugas wore a dusty rose street length pullover dress. The bodice featured gathering in the neck binding with tie extension, front neck opening, flutter sleeves and elasticized waistline with a self fabric belt. She was presented a white orchid corsage. Mrs. Harry Lee Dugas, mother of the bride-elect wore a street length light beinge dress made on an empire style.

Clayton Bourges, Lafayette, have announced the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Miss Sharon Marie Bourges, to Kurt Dominic Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jones of Breaux Bridge. The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette will be the setting for the May 26 noon ceremony.

Miss Bourges is a graduate of USL where she was a member of the junior varsity debate team, the National Speech and Hearing Association, and Kappa Delta Pi, the honorary education society. The prospective groom is a graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans, where he was a member of the Pre-Med Club, Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society and Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity. Mcrtille "Joe" Boudreauxof Breaux Bridge announced today the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Ann, to Handy James Patin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Patin of Henderson. The wedding will be at 2 p.m., June 2 in St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Breaux Bridge Sr. High and the prospective groom graduated from Cecilia Sr. High. Timothy Claude, who is one year old. Her parents are the late Claude Guidry and Mrs.

Smith directs nurses 7 home at guest CUSTOM MADE Breaux Bridge St. Bernard Catholic Church was the setting for candlelight ceremonies which joined in marriage Miss Nancy Ann LaLande and Murray Charles Camel, Friday at 7 p.m. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul LaLande Jr.

of Breaux Bridge. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C.

Camel of Lafayette. Officiating at the double ring rites was Fr. Paul Metrejean. On each side of the main altar were white urns filled with various white silk flowers and German stanus. The main aisle was flanked by brass hurricane candle-labra with white bridal satin bows.

The main aisle was covered with the traditional white carpet. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a floor length gown of white silkened organza. The empire bodice was complemented by a Queen Ann neckline. Chan-tilly lace and seed pearls accented the bodice and neckline. The long bishop sleeves had sheer appliques of lace attached to a wide cuff of lace.

The A-line silhouette skirt drapped softly to the floor forming a chapel length train. A cathedral length veil of imported English silk illu sion etched by Chantilly lace attached to a Juliet cap of matching lace. She carried a cascade of white bridal roses with dried German stanus and silk baby's breath. Attendants Mrs. Terry Guidry, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

Other members of the bridal coterie were Misses Terri Castille, Lea Camel, sister of the groom, Chyrl Clothier, Debbie Landry, cousin of the bride, Carolyn Irwin, Vickie Bau-din, and Mrs. Sharon Brous-sard, sister of the groom. They wore antique pink chiffon floor length gowns styled along empire lines with long sheer bishop sleeves. Chantilly lace trimmed the high neck and front bodice. Their headpieces were of matching lace with a shoulder length veil.

They carried nosegays of ice pink silk roses and German stanus. Andrea Guidry, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a white dress styled similar to the bridesmaids. She carried a white fireside basket filled with miniature white silk flowers and German stanus. Serving as best man was Jamie Camel, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were Steven LaLande, brother of the bride, Chucky Camel, DRAPERY w. silk roses. Special guest was Mrs. Clebert Latiolais, grandmother of the groom. The guest book table held an arrangement of ice pink roses and a large crystal bowl with ice pink rice bags.

Registering the guests were Mrs. Scott Brasseaux, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Charles Duhon. On each side of the bride's table was a pedestal holding white silk flowers. This table was skirted and trimmed with lilies of the valley.

Antique silver can-dlelabra holding tall white tapers were on each side of the four tier wedding cake which held the traditional bride and groom. The groom's table held the German chocolate cake and silver coffee service. A nine branch candlelabra on each side of a silver and crystal epeige holding an arrangement of white silk flowers were noted on the food table which was skirted and trimmed with English ivy. Members of the house party were Mmes. Robert Irwin, Carlton Castille, Felix castille, Clayton Castille, Paul Cormier, David Cas tille, L.

J. LeBlanc, Jeff Castille, Jack Delhomme, William Clark, Bill Gentry, Spencer Kuhnell, Grant Nicholson, Mike Breaux, Albert Latiolais, Shelton Landry, and Danny Blan-chard, John Raymond, Bobby Landry, Raymond Castille, and Miles. Margaret Dupuis, Susan Castille, Amy Castille, Angela Castille, Leah Castille, Susan Thibo-deaux and Darlene Picard. For a wedding trip to Texas, the newly wed Mrs. Camel wore an aqua short sleeve silk dress and wore her mother's corsage.

Upon their return, the couDle will be at home in Lafayette. Both the bride and the groom graduated from Teurlings Catholic High. The bride graduated from Ronnie and Dorman Beauty School and the groom graduated from Shreveport Barber College. The bracelet length sleeve and soft skirt featured a scalloped edging and an all over re-embroidered self flower pattern. She wore matching accessories and a corsage of ice ink silk roses. Mrs. Camel wore a floor length dress of deep mauve. The skirt was accordion pleated and had a draped neckline.

She wore matching accessories and a corsage of white Residential Commercial Mrs. Christine Smith has been named director of nurses at the St. Martinvillc Guest Home. She is a native of Cecilia and graduated with honors from Cecilia Sr. High School.

She is also graduate of Northwestern State University's College of Nursing.
